Our Grassroots Structure

Much of the work of Progressive Dane is done by committees and task forces. Committees and work groups each focus on a specific topic or issue and meet regularly. Committees focus on organizing and party-building, while work groups focus on issue campaigns and policy development. Read more about our primary committees below.

All ProDane leaders are members of the organization. Not yet a member? Join today!

WHAT IS IT? Formerly known as the "Coordinating Council," the Steering Committee is the highest member-elected leadership of Progressive Dane. The Steering Committee administers the day-to-day operations of the Party and oversees activities of the various committees and task forces. Additionally, the Steering Committee is responsible for setting the agenda of General Membership Meetings (GMM). Steering Committee members, in consultation with the Elections and Policy committees, crafts the vision and direction of Progressive Dane on the party's electoral and issue-based actions.
